Camps, Courses & Coaching
GRIT Pursuits runs UK‑based camps, accredited leadership programmes and coaching for young people and ambitious adults. In the future, these may become international. We combine Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) expeditions, National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) and trail/ultra coaching with purposeful, safe outdoor experiences.
-
Schools, local authorities, youth organisations, University societies, and corporates can book GRIT assemblies, talks, workshop sessions, camps, corporate retreats, and accredited courses including ILM, NNAS and expeditions. We also offer support and guidance on starting/ running NNAS/ DoE as well as freelance rates, for both training, assessing and as an outsourced/ independent safety & safeguarding officer. Let us take the risk and minimise your exposure!
-
Individuals can join open camps/courses, sign up for the ILM or apply for 1:1 coaching.
-
There are grants/subsidies available for individuals and projects for whom these opportunities would be otherwise not possible - please email us to discuss confidentially and compassionately. Please also contact us to discuss any helpful or required adjustments to accessibility.

ILM, DoE and NNAS – Year‑Round Courses
Large scale UK and international research consistently shows that resilience and nature based activity are critical to wellbeing and performance. It is proven to improve adult mental health outcomes, including reduced anxiety and improved mood. UK Youth highlights a Natural England study where 85% of young people agreed being in nature makes them very happy, and outdoor skills based learning was linked to gains in communication, teamwork and resilience. Aviva's recent 'Picture of Health' research reports 3/4 of UK adults actively seek out nature to manage stress. Workplace studies show that higher trained resilience is associated with lower stress, burnout and sleep problems and better job satisfaction and performance. Our courses below are built around structured outdoor challenge, reflection and skills building.

We also offer life and resilience coaching for young people, using the outdoors, values and practical tools to build confidence, communication and purpose.
Sessions can be linked to ILM or NNAS.
Young people are facing adult‑sized challenges without adult‑sized skills: academic pressure, anxiety, social media stress, relationship stuff, future uncertainty – all while classes get bigger and days are more constrained by walls and curriculum.
On top of that:
-
Homeschooling and school absence are up.
-
Anxiety, low confidence and social withdrawal are at epidemic levels, and waiting lists for 1:1 support are ever-growing.
-
Many teens have never been taught how to set goals, manage emotions, communicate, or make good decisions.
Youth life coaching gives young people a non‑parent, non‑school space to learn core life and mindset skills that traditional education does not cover deeply.
This is forward, skill and resilience focussed, not therapy based.
We are not licenced nor trained therapists or psychologists.
It focusses on values, motivation, goal setting, leadership, resilience, and confidence - to improve self belief, clear achievable personal steps, and reduce stress and setbacks.
It will help with discovering purpose, identity and values, developing a growth mindset, and improving routine.
We help young people build the mindset and skills to handle school, screens and life!
£100/ month for 2 1hr sessions, and regular Whatsapp checks ins, and resources - alongside personalised plans.
Places are limited so we can keep support genuinely high‑touch
